Sky Voyager Dreamworld

Pico Play designed queueing, pre-show, safety briefing, and exit retail areas for a repurposed IMAX theatre building. Ride circulation was reconfigured to accommodate two-level loading. The pre-show areas seamlessly integrated with the developing media content of the main show screen. A new contemporary façade was cost-effectively constructed over the existing building. Collaboration with consultants and trades ensured an on-budget outcome within a tight construction schedule, while adhering to safety and authority approvals.

Our design was of an international standard and flexible, adapting to evolving site conditions and changing media content. The space allowed for interchangeable media and story content while maintaining the integrity of the ride experience.

The Southern Hemisphere's first flying theatre simulator ride opened in August 2019. This world-class ride experience is unique in the Australian theme park industry, created in collaboration with specialty vendors in ride equipment, M&E, lighting/audio and media production. Pico Play is proud to have contributed to the creation of this spectacular flying experience at one of the Gold Coast's top theme parks.
