Pico Play is expanding rapidly, especially in the Middle East, with a new fabrication facility in Saudi Arabia and active recruitment across regions to support its growth in delivering world-class themed attractions.

The company specialises in delivering themed attractions and entertainment for theme parks, nature parks, water parks, family entertainment centres, surf parks and experiences, offering end-to-end solutions to bring projects to life. One market where it has seen significant growth is the Middle East, where it has recently opened a new location in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia. It has also launched a new website dedicated to its projects in the region.

With over 20,000 square metres of global fabrication facilities, Pico Play is well-equipped to deliver a comprehensive range of fabrication services. The Al-Kharj facility complements existing sites in Malaysia and Vietnam, enabling efficient service delivery across the Kingdom with capabilities such as steel fabrication, CNC milling, and scenic painting. This strategic expansion streamlines operations, ensuring the highest quality standards for projects in the Middle East.

Recruiting top talent

Pico Play is actively recruiting top talent across multiple regions to support its ambitious growth plans. These roles will strengthen its ability to deliver seamless, high-quality projects worldwide.

Key positions in production and contracts include a director of production engineering based in Johor, a contracts manager and senior project manager with 10+ years of construction experience in Riyadh, and an intermediate or senior quantity surveyor based in Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, an administration assistant in Singapore will support these efforts.

In the entertainment and experience division, a show production coordinator based in Riyadh will help enhance the company’s storytelling guest experience.

In design, Pico Play is recruiting a 3D designer and master planner based on the Gold Coast and a masterplan designer in Kuala Lumpur. These specialists will help create the visual and spatial elements that bring attractions to life.

Human resources is also expanding by recruiting a senior HR executive (or assistant HR manager) for the Riyadh regional headquarters, which is essential for supporting Pico Play’s growing team. Lastly, the finance team is bringing on a qualified accountant with international business experience based in Kuala Lumpur to support Pico Play’s financial operations.

With this new wave of talent joining the company and the addition of advanced fabrication facilities, Pico Play is poised for continued growth, ready to tackle new projects with a fresh team of industry experts. This expansion reinforces Pico Play’s commitment to delivering world-class attractions that captivate and inspire global audiences.

Earlier this year, Pico Play appointed Hadi Salahat as its first project director for the Middle East. Salahat joined Pico Play in April and has vast experience in elite theming projects in the region, such as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, The Green Planet Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s Center of Curiosity Museum.
